GEMTEK SYSTEMS is the manufacturer of Independent Radio News Ltd's "Obit Alarm Unit".

Available as a complete cased mains powered 1U unit, or as a fully
aligned "Eurocard" pcb for inclusion in OEM's rack equipment.
These units are only available to contracted customers of IRN Ltd.

The "Obit Alarm Unit" connects to the audio output of the satellite receiver
for the IRN news service. The unit will control alarm indicators or sounders
for the "Obit Alarm" sequence of functions.

The unit detects and decodes record start / stop signals for your audio capture
or other recording equipment. The unit also monitors the presence of "bing tone",
and signals line/satellite/receiver failure in its absence.

The 1U unit has a front panel switch for disabling the record start function,
and two other switches for resetting "LINE FAIL" and "OBIT ALARM" indicators.
The reset functions are also available as a wired remote facility, that can be
extended out to a News Room or Studio.

The "Eurocard" PCB for OEM's is available by negotiation subject to the
agreement of Independent Radio News Ltd.
