GEMTEK SYSTEMS "PRO" conversion to the CP230 / CP430 makes the machines
more
rugged for the world of professional sound recording and journalism,
these
modified machines are now finding favour with "professional" sound
recordists
and ornithologists who want long life crackle free professional input
connections.
The "PRO" modification replaces the usual side connector plate with its
1/4
inch microphone jacks with a pair of broadcast standard XLR input
connectors,
gold plated for even better connections and mounted in a metal clad and
reinforced side plate. A single input mode switch selects between
microphone
(mic) input, mono mic and "LINE" input levels. Note that the output
"phono"
connectors still produce the standard stereo output.
